Powerlink Electrical was established in 1994 by Andy Winship - Andy served his time in Scarborough at Northern Electric (Formerly NEEB - North Eastern Electricity Board) . Upon leaving Northern Electric Andy started doing odd electrical jobs for friends and family and this naturally led him to officially establish his business in January 1994 - For the next 7 years Andy managed his growing workload alone but in 2001 finally took the plunge and employed his first member of staff. The business continued to grow through the 2000's and in 2007 Andy took possession of an industrial unit in Pickering where staff numbers rose to 9. The recession of the late 2000's resulted in a reduction of staff numbers but the business continued to go from strength to strength . In May 2006 the decision was made to register the business as a limited company under the brand AJW (Yorkshire) Ltd .
Today the business employs 4 people and works for many clients both commercial and domestic across North Yorkshire. Many of our clients have supported us for many years some right back to when our journey began. The business prides itself on offering a professional prompt service with an excellent level of expertise in all things electrical. The business is registered as a Fully Approved Electrical Contractor with the NICEIC and also holds the governments Trustmark status for quality assurance
